Care of Wood Surfaces
Like anything else your furniture needs to be maintained in order to withstand the test of time. Care involves dusting, washing, cleaning and polishing your surface. Major damage to the surface should be left to professionals.
Preventative maintenance will ensure years of service. Dusting the surface should be completed a few times per week with a clean, absorbent cloth. Washing the surface ensures all particles are picked up that dusting may leave behind. Wash the surface with a light mix of mild soap and water using a clean cloth. Insure as to not wet parts where glue or epoxy has been used in order to prevent loosening. Waxing will ensure a glossy new coat for your wood finish. Before polishing, ensure the above steps are completed well. Waxing should be done once or twice a year depending on how often the surface is used.
